Back from vacation now. Have to finally work for a living again.
Love the nightly show. Would love to hear more from Limalanders via email and phone, but that will come. We still supply the guests to inform our listeners whatever the sport and whatever the news.
The news hasn’t been good for the Indians. Traded Betancourt, who’s next? Reds should be sellers too. They aren’t going anywhere.
Ohio sports fans, here’s the good news: NFL Training Camps are here. We can talk Browns and Bengals! What do I just say? Oh well, they are undefeated until September when the regular season begins!

The old beard is back and weaker than ever. The poster man-child for the word "diva." The gun slinger / mud slinger. The locker room killer. The crier. The divider. The no show. The misunderstood. The faker. The addict. The man who fans love more than family members. Now he wears purple.
It's like a bad Monday Night Raw. It's like when Hulk Hogan turned bad. But this is real. It's real betrayal played out on grass and grits. Now it's more than a game. It's revenge. You better believe when he plays Green Bay more people will watch that than the Super Bowl. I'll watch.

Shaquille O'Neal plans to take on the world. link here
An ABC reality show will pit Shaq against the top athletes... but outside of the basketball court. Have you ever wondered if Shaq could beat Big Ben Roethlisberger in football? He can't. But ABC thinks he can.
The guy has HUGE market-ability. A well liked and respected member of professional sports, a media friendly athlete, and an overall funny guy, Shaq seems to have it all. What he doesn't have is a lock on his own health. He's struggled to put together a full season in his own sport over the past several season. He's aging, he's slow, and he sweats more then any other athlete I've ever seen. In fact, he has his own towel boy for his forehead.
The show will premiere on August 18th. However, we don't know how long it will take for Shaq to premiere for the Cavaliers. They hired a starter -- not a TV star.
With that said, I'm going to dust off my old Sega and play some Shaq-Fu.

Michael Vick should be in a Browns uniform this year.
Think about that statement for a few minutes. It’s hard to imagine the felon that served hard time could fit into this team. But it’s not a bad fit. A snug fit really. I’m not expecting the Vick of seven years ago, I’m expecting the athlete with speed and knowledge of the game to mentor an unproven prospect that’s looking for his moment in the sun.
Let’s examine what happened in Arizona. A college stud by the name of Matt Leinart was ready to take this league by storm. A few inconsistent years and injuries later, the team relied on a once great quarterback by the name of Kurt Warner. Vick can work in Cleveland. Sure, you’ll get protests from fans and enemies alike, but you’ll also get a great insurance policy that’s not likely to get a staph infection. Ouch.
In reality, what do you have to lose in a back-up or 3rd string QB?
